Day 1

Ludhiana to Manali Travel & Acclimatization

Start early from Ludhiana and drive to Manali. Check in to your hotel and rest. Acclimatize to the altitude and enjoy the cool mountain climate.

Day 2

Manali to Kaza via Atal Tunnel & Kunzum Pass

Begin a spectacular mountain drive through the Atal Tunnel into Lahaul Valley. Cross the Kunzum Pass (14,930 ft) and arrive in Kaza, the administrative headquarters of Spiti Valley.

Day 3

Key Monastery & Chicham Bridge

Explore the ancient, fortress-like Key Monastery. Drive to Kibber, once the highest village connected by road, and cross the deep gorge at Chicham Bridge.

Day 4

High-Altitude Villages: Hikkim, Komic, Langza

Visit Hikkim to send a letter from the world's highest post office. Head to Komic, the highest motorable village, and photograph the giant Buddha statue at Langza.

Day 5

Kaza to Chandratal Lake Camping

Drive from Kaza to Chandratal (Lake of the Moon). Take a short trek to the turquoise waters. Spend the night in comfortable Swiss tents nearby.

Chandratal to Manali Return

Why is the Sedan car option not available for the Spiti Valley route?

The roads in Spiti Valley, especially between Gramphu and Kaza, are unpaved, rocky, and cross several active water streams (nullahs). Standard sedans (like Dzire or Etios) have low ground clearance and can easily get stuck or damaged. For passenger safety, we strictly only send SUVs (Ertiga) or Innova Crystas with expert mountain drivers.

How do we handle acute mountain sickness (AMS) during this trip?

Our drivers are fully trained to handle mountain sickness. They carry basic first-aid kits and suggest a gradual ascent to help you adapt to high altitudes. We also recommend carrying portable oxygen cylinders and consulting a physician before the trip.
